I love this camera, I would recommend it to any portrait & wedding photographer. I've been a photographer for 4 years, I love everything about canon.

I bought the 6D a year and half ago, and while it is a very nice camera, I am disappointed in the amount of noise visible. Oftentimes, even at ISO's as low as 640, noise is very obvious in darker/shaded areas of the scene.
I knew it only had 11 AF points, but I am still disappointed in this. For a full frame camera, even at "entry level", having only 11 AF points is pretty chintzy.
All in all, though, a nice camera, just very very basic functions.

I was given the opportunity to shoot some races this weekend for the Pirelli World Challenge and brought the 6D along with my 7Dmk2. The 6D had absolutely no issue keeping focus on the fast race cars, even with panning and zooming. The battery lasted me the whole weekend and several thousand photos without needing to recharge it. I did have to recharge my 7D's battery once, so it was nice to only need to charge one battery. The images came out extremely well and it did every very taxing thing I asked of it. With a very fast card I only hit the buffer once and it cleared fairly quickly. I didn't lose any shots due to buffer. I've also used the camera for birds and wildlife and it performed very well there too. It is way more capable than I originally imagined and have read about. The wifi also worked well which was very handy for sharing images. I would highly recommend this camera. If you're worried about it being capable enough, worry no more. Even on a sunny day shooting wide open at 2.8, I was able to drop the ISO to 50 and keep shooting wide open even with the white cars. Couldn't be happier with the camera.

I could not be happier with the Canon 6D full frame camera. It has reignited my love of photography. I am very pleased with the weight and feel of the camera. The features are handy and plentiful. This camera when used with the IS USM canon lenses is a powerhouse and will get me the shots that I want.
